Sue and Ali making sure the turkey doesn't make a bid for freedom!!!

Clean up,clean up

Dave (and the entire family) spent the morning cleaning out 30 years of junk from the store room. Four Bakkie loads delivered - 1 stove, 2 microwaves, a frig, mums old twin tub washing machine, 2 old canvas tents and pile of unused stuff from over the years - to the compound! This added to the couch, armchair, 2 beds that have been delivered previously - we ' ve had an amazing spring clean and there is a whole lot of new empty spaces in the house - ready to start collecting up again!!!!!!

Sunset 22nd Dec

Margi happy that the world didn't end yesterday. Great picture
Margi and Dave arrived at Kaysers 17th Dec 2012 and set about restoring some order to the mess. Installed new hot water geyser as the old one (30 years + old) wouldn't work.
Lolo and Danny , Alex and JP arrived on Friday, to give Robyn some peace and enable her to finish her marking.
Noen organized a picnic for Lolo, Danny, Layla and Lissie (Mich and Richards daughters) at the back. Weather has been great so far.

Lightning Strike March 2012

Rondavel Roof blown out

Scarey evening, Incredibly lucky no one was hurt. Kids on the veranda and adults in the Kitchen cooking supper. Robyn with her bum against the aluminum strip had a singe mark for days and Jane who was stirring a pot had a shock run through her. We were all deaf for several hours. A short while earlier the kids would have been in the bath, and a little latter Jake would have been asleep right under the strike,
Long saga to have the roof fixed, eventually having it replaced very badly by Bob the builder. Santam insurance via their assesor gave us untold grief, eventually moving insurance to Hollard.
Recovering from the strike
