Mark caught 34lb black steen bras at the sisters . 2nd June

25th June - 13th July . Mark, Helen,Mick, Clare, Patrick, Margaret,Kay,Ursula, John Wheler, Bunny and Eileen Stevens,Vivienne, Andrew plus nanny and puppy. Tony Wheeler one weekend.

Mark caught a 57lb black steen bras at the sisters 5th July

1st Aug- 1st Sep. Chas & Aileen Shewry, Rosamund Wheeler, Tony Wheeler, John Wheeler, Christopher, Ursula, Sidney Ann Meaker, Mark, Helen, Mick,Clare,Margaret,Patrick, Kay.

Wonderful weather.

29th Sept. Granny, Cecil, Boetie, Juliana, Mark, Helen, Mickey, Clare, Twins, Kay, Ursula.

29th Sept Mark caught a 6lb damba at coopers rock in front of Hoosie.

3rd Oct . Helen sprained her ankle walking down to the river. Mark caught a 12 lb kob near Chalumna mouth.

5th Oct. Coetzee contingent left, then U, H, K.

5 th Oct . Ursula , Helen & Kay returned to 5 Frech str. Kay with measles.

7th Oct. The rest returned home.

15th Dec. Granny, Jud, Ursula, Mick, Clare, twins, Kay, Hrlen, John Ratray, Herbert Lindstrom.

16th Christopher arrived.

18th Mark arrived from Oudtshooorn on his scooter.

21-25th Herbert returned to EL. Christmas Day at the Hoosie. Christmas tree in dinning room. Turkey, plum pudding brandy sauce by Jud.. All the family present.

27th . Mick Murray arrived.

28th Juliana arrived by plane from Cape Town, met by Jud, Granny & Helen. Herbert came to stay.

29th Kaysers Beach sports day. The Hoosie winners were as follows.

Ladies race - 1st Helen Taylor.

Mick Murray. Sack race 2nd , 100 yds 2nd.

Ursula. 100yds 2nd, Sack race 1st and with Julianna 3 legged tie for 1st.

Juliana . 100yds 1st, Sack race 1st.

Herbert Lindstrom. 1st 100 yds 9-14 yrs , 1st wheelbarrow race.

Clare . 2nd 100yds. 9-14 yrs and 2nd 3 legged 9-14yrs.

Margaret. 2nd75 yds7-8 yrs and with Kay 2nd in 3 legged race.

Patrick . 1st 75 yds. 7-8yrs, 2nd sack race, 1st wheelbarrow race .

Kay. 1st 50yds 5-6 yrs, 2nd monkey race .

29th Dec, John Rattray to stay until Jan 3rd.

31st . Kob caught by Mark12.5lbs.

Jude, Ann Moore, Clare, Judy Currell , Peggy Parons, Ursula, Helen, Mark, ?, Kay, Patrick, Margaret
Peggy lost her bathing costume while bathing and Ursula and Judy bathed in he nude with her.
Jude killed a hibernating snake, very hot , lovely bathing
3rd Oct
New stove and fridge arrived. Stove installed with much bother. Grace instructed Norton and Eunice and knocked chimney sideways. No one popular
Xmas , new year 1955/6
